4 Members of Eph Men's Swimming & Diving Team Named CSC Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, IN -- Four members of head coach Steve Kuster's 2024-25 Williams Men's Swimming & Diving Team have been named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). The 2024-25 Eph team finished 12th at the 2025 NCAA DIII Championship Meet.

Senior Carter Anderson, a 2024-25 team captain and a Math and Physics major, posted two NCAA B cuts this winter to qualify for the 2025 NCAA Championship Meet. Anderson went 4:25.65 in the 500 Freestyle and 15:27.43 in the 1650 to qualify for the 2025 NCAA Championship Meet. At the 2025 NCAA Meet he was a two-time NCAA First Team All-American and earned one Second Team All-American finish. He finished in seventh place in the 1650 Freestyle, tenth in the 500 Freestyle, third in the 800 Freestyle Relay. Anderson won eight races in his career at the NESCAC Championship Meet and in 2025 was runner-up for career high point scorer at the NESCAC Championship Meet.
 
Oliver Schalet, a senior captain and Chemistry Major, is a three-time Academic ALL-NESCAC and College Swimming Coaches of America academic honoree. He is the 2025 NESCAC High Point Winner and a fifteen-time (7 individual and 8 relays) NESCAC champion. An eleven-time NCAA All-American Schalet was a member of the 2024 Eph NCAA 800 Freestyle Relay championship team. Also, in 2024 he was an All-American in the 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay, 400 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle & 200 IM.Schalet was a 2024 NESCAC Champion: 200 IM & 400 IM, NESCAC and is the Williams school record holder in the 200 IM and 400 IM and a member of four relays that set NESCAC records.
 
Zach Houlton, a 2024.5 a Music major, is a four-time CSCAA Scholar All-American and a three-time Academic All-NESCAC honoree. In 2024-25 Houlton was a top eight finisher at the NESCAC Championship Meet in three freestyle events (7th in 500, 5th in 1000 and 7th in the mile). In 2023-24 he was again a top 10 NESCAC finisher in three freestyle events: (10th in 500, 6th in 1000 & 1650), In 2022-23 he again was a NESCAC Top 10 finisher in 3 freestyle events (10th in 500, 5th in 1000 & 1650). In his first season competing for the Ephs in 2021-22 Houlton was the 1000 freestyle NESCAC Champion, and seventh in the 500 Freestyle.
 
Sophomore Haochen Liu, a Political Science major, is a two-time NESCAC Champion winning on the one meter and three-meter boards in 2025. He was also the NCAA Regional three-meter champion. Four times Liu has been named All-NESCAC and in 2024 he earned All-American honors.

Carter Anderson, Haochen Liu and Oliver Schalet have been advanced to the Academic All-America ballot.
