WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -
Oliver Schalet left it all in the pool during his final collegiate meet.
The senior captain on the Williams College men's swimming & diving team compiled five All-American performances during the 2025 NCAA Division III Championship on March 19-22 in Greensboro, North Carolina, as the Ephs placed 12th overall and saw 10 student-athletes earn All-American laurels on the national stage.

"Nationals was a blast and it is always fun to the end the season at the highest level of competition," said Schalet. "I am proud of the hard work that everyone put in this season to get to the NCAA Championship and the energy that we brought to the pool deck was unparalleled. Through ups and downs, this group made the most of our experience, creating an atmosphere to be proud of and finishing the season strong. It has been a wonderful four years with the seniors. I am excited to watch the team from a different perspective next season."
Schalet earned First Team All-American status in the final of he 200-yard freestyle (1:37.49) and 200 IM (1:48.01), placing sixth and eighth overall, respectively. The Northampton, Massachusetts, native also took home Second Team honors in the 100 freestyle, touching the wall in a time of 44.61 and finishing in a tie for 12th.
Sophomore
Ryan Nunez earned runner-up recognition during an All-American First Team performance in the championship final of the 500 freestyle (4:24.40), while also taking home Second Team honors in the 200 butterfly (1:47.04) with a ninth-place finish.

Carter Anderson achieved All-American First Team recognition during a seventh-place effort in the final of the 1,650 freestyle (15:31.97), while going home with a Second Team finish in the 500 freestyle (4:25.34) with a 10th-place performance. Sophomore
Haochen Liu garnered All-American Second Team laurels during the final of the 1-meter diving event (438.95), placing 10th overall.

Harrison Williams, Schalet and Anderson grabbed a third-place finish and All-American First Team honors during the final of the 800 freestyle relay (6:32.08). Senior

Mason Green worked together to earn Second Team honors in the final of the 200 medley relay (1:29.48) with a 16th-place finish. Nunez, Schalet, Heritage and sophomore
Theo Randall placed 13th overall in the final of the 400 freestyle relay (2:59.86), earning All American Second Team recognition.
The 2024-25 Ephs also captured their sixth consecutive NESCAC Championship and the team has won 22 of 24 conference crowns dating back to 2001.
"This week down in Greensboro was a crazy ride for the 12 men who qualified for the NCAA Championship," said head coach
Steve Kuster. "With exams, schoolwork and an incredibly deep field, there was a lot to contend with. It was a bit of an up and down meet, but the men finished well and there was way more good than not. We are proud of all this team accomplished this year and how the student-athletes went about doing it."
