WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. -- Nicholas Chen '26 has earned a berth in the 2025 NCAA Individual Championships, which will take place in Claremont, CA from May 23 to May 26 at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center. Chen has had an outstanding season, showcasing a 9-5 record against the nation's best players in Division III.
Eph head coach Dan Greenberg said, "I'm excited to see Nick compete at NCAAs. He can hang with anyone in the country and always plays his toughest tennis at the end of the year."
Chen, who's known for his court composure and big-match mentality, said, "It's an honor to represent Williams on the national stage. I've worked hard all year for this, and I'm looking forward to testing myself against the best in the country."
This will mark Chen's first appearance in the singles bracket at the NCAA Individual Championships, capping off a breakout junior campaign where he consistently held down the Ephs top singles spot.
"Nick's got this quiet intensity about him," added Greenberg. "He doesn't show much, but you know he's locked in every point. That's what makes him so tough to play."
Chen will enter the draw as one of the top players from the Northeast Region, and while the field is packed with seasoned talent, he's no stranger to high-stakes tennis. With his relentless baseline game and mental grit, Chen is primed to make some noise in Claremont.
The entire Williams community will be rooting for Chen as he takes on the nation's best. Live streaming and scoring will be available through the NCAA's official website.
