WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. -- Williams women's lacrosse goaltender Caroline Pratt continues to stack up the individual accolades. Today, the IWLCA recognized her as a Division III All-American, placing Pratt on the Second Team.
This achievement comes after Pratt's All-NESCAC First Team and All-Berkshire Region First Team awards, and has solidified her status as one of the best goaltenders in the conference, in the region, and in the country.
Pratt leads the NESCAC in several key statistical categories, including her .529 save percentage and her 145 saves. The 145 saves more than doubled Pratt's previous career high, and her 9.06 saves per game ranks her nearly an entire save per game higher than any other NESCAC goalie.
Eph head Alice Lee addressed Pratt's stellar season: "Caroline's selection as a Second Team All-American highlights the tremendous impact she's had in goal this season, anchoring our defense with composure, resilience, and consistently high-level play," Lee said.
Pratt's influence for the team extended beyond her in-game play, according to Lee. "Her teammates also named her our team's Eph of the Year, a reflection of her tireless work ethic, positivity, unwavering dedication, and the standard she brings to everything she does," Lee said. "Caroline truly exemplifies what it means to lead by example, put the team above all, and we couldn't be prouder of all she's accomplished."
Pratt is set to graduate this spring, and the Ephs will have big shoes to fill for next year.
