WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -
Owen Maier '25 and
William Densmore '26 of the Williams College men's crew team earned 2025 Empacher-Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA) All-American First and Second Team honors, respectively.

Maier, who was recently named a Division III finalist for the IRCA's inaugural edition of The Oarsman award, was a three-time All-American First Team honoree and one-time Second Team selection during his brilliant collegiate career. Densmore garnered his second All-American accolade, as he was named to the First Team at the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.Â
The two student-athletes were members of the first varsity eight boats that earned gold and silver medals during the 2023 and 2024 Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) national championships, respectively. Maier, who hails from Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, was a pivotal member of the national championship-winning first varsity eight boat in 2022.
Maier, who served as a senior captain in 2024-25, earned NESCAC All-Conference First Team laurels in 2022, 2023 and 2024, while taking home Empacher Bootswerft-IRCA Scholar-Athlete and NESCAC All-Academic Team honors in three consecutive years from 2023-25. Densmore, who is originally from Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, was named to the conference's All-Academic Team and garnered Empacher Bootswerft-IRCA Scholar-Athlete recognition in 2024 and 2025.
