MANCHESTER, Vt. — Sophomore Zoe Wynn and first-year Angela Nip both carded a 3-over 73 on Tuesday afternoon at Ekwanok Country Club to tie atop the individual standings and lead the eighth-ranked Williams College women's golf team to victory over the other two teams at the Sap Bucket Challenge. The Ephs wrapped up the event with a 19-over 299, 24 strokes ahead of Hamilton and 27 ahead of Trinity.

Starting on the 10th hole with the shotgun start on the 5,490-yard, par-70 course, Nip played her first nine at 4-over par with five pars. She kicked it into gear on the final nine with birdies on the third, fourth and ninth (final) holes to finish with her 73.

Wynn began on the 15th hole and made par on her first seven holes and was 1-over through nine. Birdies on the ninth and 12th holes allowed her to stay with Nip and match her total of 73 in sharing medalist honors.

First-year Sadie Wu completed the 18 holes in a tie for fourth in the 18-player field with a 5-over 75. She sank birdies on the 10th and 13th holes to go with 10 pars. The final score contributing to the team total was an 8-over 78 turned in by sophomore Petra Yee with 11 pars to her credit.

"I am really proud of the young team we brought to the Sap Bucket," head coach Tomas Adalssteinson said. "It was a fun event to finish the fall season at a beautiful golf course surrounded by the bright fall foliage. A great thank you to Ekwanok for hosting. It was a great win to close the fall season, and the preparation for the spring starts right away."

The women will be back in action in the spring of 2027.
