WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Williams College men's lacrosse team has earned at-large berths into the NCAA Division III Tournament during two of the last three seasons, as the expectations remain high for the 2026 version of the Ephs.
The group will jump right into NESCAC action with its journey beginning on Saturday, Feb. 28, against Trinity at 1 p.m. in Hartford, Connecticut. The Ephs' home opener will take place on Wednesday, March 4, against Union at 6:30 p.m. on Farley-Lamb Field.
"We are excited about our 2026 season, primarily due to our committed seniors and the new opponents we will be facing," said head coach
George McCormack. "We have added Harvard as a scrimmage, and Salisbury and Vassar to our regular season schedule. Our seniors have set the tone for the season with their strong work ethic and dedication to the process."

Kai Switlick. McCormack, a four-time NESCAC Coach of the Year, enters his 23rd year at the helm of the team, guiding the program to its first NESCAC Championship in 2008 and first NCAA Division III Tournament Final Four in 2019.

Tim Goggins is a faculty/staff affiliate,
Griffin Cole is a student manager and
Bruce Cohen is a volunteer assistant coach.
During the 2025 season, the Ephs defeated three ranked opponents on Farley-Lamb Field, including No. 17 Babson, 9-7, on March 1, No. 6 Amherst, 9-6, on April 5 and No. 19 Middlebury, 12-11, on April 23. Doran finished the season with 18 goals and 29 assists, while
Ryan Johnson (16 goals, 19 assists) and Nagle (15 goals, 13 assists) were pivotal factors on the offensive end. On defense, Housenbold totaled 55 ground balls and 29 caused turnovers.
In 2026, the Ephs compete in 15 regular season games, with 10 counting toward the NESCAC standings and seven occurring in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Williams travels to Amherst on Saturday, April 11, for a noon start, and then hosts Wesleyan on Saturday, April 18, at 1 p.m.
