WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Williams College women's indoor track & field team competed at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on the Track & Tennis Center in Boston and the Tufts Cupid Challenge at the Gantcher Family Sports and Convocation Center in Medford, Massachusetts, this weekend, as the Ephs recorded 22 personal-best marks.
During the Tufts Cupid Challenge, Williams recorded a handful of first-place efforts, as
Ginger Long '29,
Clara Gahm '28 and
Maria Fareti '28 tallied personal-best times and placed first overall in the 800 meters (2:15.79), 3,000 (10:13.54) and weight throw (16.52 meters), respectively.
Lily Yampolsky '28 and
Ellie Fitzgerald '26 were the first-place finishers in the 1,000 (2:59.44) and pole vault (3.75), respectively.
Mirembe Mubanda '28 registered a runner-up effort with a personal record of 3:09.23 during the 1,000, while
Helen Hurden '27 was the second runner to cross the finish line in the 3,000 (10:16.35).
Uma Champe '28 earned third-place honors in the 1 mile, clocking a personal-best time of 5:19.61, while
Audrey Cheng '29 finished third in the pole vault with a mark of 3.47.
The Ephs also saw personal-best efforts by
Fiona Picone '26 (1 mile, 5:25.34),
Ella Kirkwood '28 (1 mile, 5:32.19),
Linnea Cox '29 (3,000, 10:43.29),
Eliana Zitrin '26 (3,000, 10:56.86) and
Eliza Ayres '29 (60 hurdles, 9.44).
Mireya King '28 competed in the pentathlon and earned a personal-best mark of 3,028 points, while setting individual records in the 800 (2:39.05), 60 hurdles (9.64), high jump (1.46), long jump (5.30) and shot put (8.67) events.
During the Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University,

The Ephs will compete in the Division III New England Championship on Feb. 28 and March 1 at The Track at New Balance in Boston.
