BOSTON, MA - The Williams College men's track & field team finished in eighth place at the 2026 New England Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, held on February 27th through March 1st.
The Williams College men's track & field team turned in a strong showing, highlighted by a school record, a New England Division III record, and multiple podium finishes.
On the track,
Zachary Liu-Walter delivered a historic performance in the 800m, capturing first place in 1:50.99. His time marked a personal best while setting both a new school record and a New England Division III record.Â
Keiyu Mamiya added a fifth-place finish in the mile, crossing in 4:10.38, while
Luke Zanuck placed eighth in the 3000m with a time of 8:28.62.
The Ephs also competed in two relays, as the distance medley relay team of Luis Mendoza,
Bryce Cooper,
Gavin Engtrakul, and
Ethan Striff-Cave finished sixth in 10:16.90.Â
In the 4x800m relay, Mendoza, Striff-Cave, Engtrakul, and Mamiya combined for an eighth-place finish in a personal-best time of 7:57.61.
In the field events, Uly Junker claimed first place in the long jump with a personal-best leap of 7.17m.
Vincent VanMaaren added a fourth-place finish in the pole vault, clearing 4.80 meters.
The Ephs are back in action next weekend (March 6
th-7
th) at the AARTFC Indoor Championships in New York, N.Y.
