BOSTON, MA - The Williams College women's track & field team placed second overall with 108 points at the 2026 New England Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, held on February 27th through March 1st.
The Ephs narrowly trailed first-place Tufts, which totaled 112 points across the weekend, while finishing comfortably ahead of third-place MIT by more than 29 points.
The Williams College women's track & field team delivered a standout weekend highlighted by multiple event victories, personal-best performances, and two New England Division III records.
Sophomore,
Mireya King started off the weekend in the women's pentathlon where she finished in fifth place overall with a personal best of 3110. King recorded four personal-best marks this weekend during her pentathlon weekend, long jump (5.39m), shot put (8.88m), high jump (1.48m), and the 60m hurdles (9.48).Â
On the track, the Ephs dominated the distance events. In the 5000m,
Kate Swann placed second in 17:31.98, while
Fiona Picone finished fifth with a personal-best time of 17:38.15.Â
The mile proved to be a strong event for Williams, as
Kate Tuttle claimed the win in 4:52.71, followed by
Jordan Liss-Riordan in second with a personal-best 4:57.23 and
Morgan Eigel in third with a personal-best 4:58.18.
Charlene Peng also recorded a personal-best performance, finishing sixth in 4:59.83.
Annika Paluska turned in one of the top performances of the meet in the 800m, placing second with a personal-best time of 2:10.55 to set a new New England Division III record.Â
Lily Yampolsky added a personal-best mark of 2:59.24 in the 1000m to finish eighth, while
Tamar Byl captured first place in the 3000m with a personal-best 9:40.69.
The 4x800m team of Tuttle,
Ginger Long, Yampolsky, and
Clara Gahm claimed victory in 9:14.36 with a personal-best performance.Â
While the 4x400 relay,
Cate Donaldson,
Ella Sukup, Paluska, and
Bella King-Harvey secured first place in 3:46.72, setting another New England Division III record, school record, and personal-best time.
In the field events,
Ellie Fitzgerald cleared 4.00m to win the pole vault, recording a personal-best mark that also established a new school record and New England Division III record.Â
Maria Fareti placed fourth in the weight throw with a mark of 15.75m and added a personal-best 12.50m to finish fifth in the shot put.

Eliza Ayres finished sixth in the long jump with a leap of 5.47m, while
Amelie Jamanka placed eighth in the high jump, clearing 1.58m.
The Ephs are back in action next weekend (March 6
th-7
th) at the AARTFC Indoor Championships in New York, N.Y.
