Ellie Fitzgerald named NESCAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week

HADLEY, Mass. - For the first time in her collegiate career, senior Ellie Fitzgerald of the Williams College women's track & field team earned NESCAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors from the conference office Tuesday morning.

Fitzgerald, a senior from Montclair, New Jersey, tallied a mark of 3.75 meters to the win the pole vault event during the Emory Spring Break Classic on Friday and Saturday at the Woodruff PE Center Stadium in Atlanta. The exceptional performance ranks second in NCAA Division III during the first week of the outdoor season.
