HADLEY, Mass. - After recording a complete-game win and throwing a two-hitter during a 2-1 season-opening, seven-inning victory at RPI Saturday afternoon in the first game of a doubleheader, senior captain
Sadie Leonard of the No. 22-ranked Williams College softball team was recognized as NESCAC Pitcher of the Week by the conference office Monday afternoon.
Leonard, a three-time NESCAC Pitcher of the Year and three-time National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American, struck out 15 batters and struck out the side during the first, third, fifth and seventh innings, while not allowing a single earned run. The Tiburon, California, native has been named the conference's Pitcher of the Week 11 times, dating back to the 2023 season.
The Ephs will compete in their home-opening doubleheader against RPI Saturday, with game times at noon and 2 p.m. on Cole Field.
