The Williams College women's track and field team turned in an impressive weekend of competition across two meets, The UMass Commonwealth Invite and the Bison Outdoor Classic

At the UMass Commonwealth Invite in Amherst, Massachusetts, the Ephs were led by a dominant performance in the 3000m steeplechase.Â
Charlene Peng earned first place in 10:32.21, setting a personal best, while Williams packed the field behind her.Â
Clara Gahm finished in third in 11:07.33 (PR),Â
Helen Hurden finished fifth with a personal-best 11:28.94, andÂ
Ella Kirkwood (6th) andÂ
Linnea Cox (8th, collegiate debut) added to the team's depth.
Williams also excelled in the distance events, asÂ
Jordan Liss-Riordan lead the way in the 5000m with a second-place finish and a personal-best of 17:02.83.Â
Fiona Picone followed closely in third, whileÂ
Hannah Prokup clocked a personal-best of 17:55.80 to place fourth. In the 1500m,Â
Lily Yampolsky added a fifth-place finish in 4:40.40.
On the track,Â
Ella Sukup finished in seventh place with a time of 25.43, while
Bella King-Harvey placed eighth in 25.49 leading the Ephs in the 200 meters, whileÂ
Claire Jensen placed sixth in the 400 meters (58.38).Â
In the 400-meter hurdles,Â
Alex Eremenko turned in a strong effort to place fourth in 1:03.77.
In the field events,Â
Ellie Fitzgerald highlighted the day with a second-place finish in the pole vault, clearing 3.81m, whileÂ
Audrey Cheng followed in fourth (3.66m).Â
Eliza Ayres added a sixth-place finish in the long jump (5.44m), andÂ
Becca White recorded a personal best of 31.28m in the javelin to place eighth.
A small group of Eph distance runners also competed at the Bison Outdoor Classic in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, going up against Division I and II competition with standout results.Â
Kate Tuttle delivered a historic performance in the 5000 meters, finishing second in 16:20.04 to set a new school record, her fourth of the 2026 track season.
In the 800 meters,Â
Annika Paluska raced to a fourth-place finish in 2:07.89, marking a personal best.Â
Williams also saw strong performances in the longer distances, asÂ
Tamar Byl placed fourth in the 10,000m in her collegiate debut (34:49.60), whileÂ
Kate Swann finished seventh with a personal-best of 35:07.04.
Williams returns to action on Friday, April 17
th, as they compete at the MIT Sean Collier Invitational and the Bobbi Palma Spring Classic.Â
