WILLIAMSTOWN, MA. — The Williams College Men's track & field put together a competitive showing in front of a home crowd at Lee Track, tallying 67 points to earn a fifth-place finish at the NESCAC Track & Field Championships after two days of action.
The Ephs were led by a trio of individual champions across distance and field events.
Zachary Liu-Walter captured the 800m title in a winning time of 1:50.09, while
Emil Nelson dominated the 10,000m, taking first in 30:25.93. In the steeplechase,
Henry Alexander added another victory, crossing the line in 9:04.46.
Williams also saw a strong showing in the 1500m, where
Keiyu Mamiya earned a runner-up finish in 3:50.14, as
TJ Zwall added depth in the event with a 10
th place finish (3:56.45).
In the field, the Ephs delivered standout performances highlighted by a pair of event wins. Uly Junker recorded a first place finish in the long jump with a school-record mark of 7.41 meters, while
Vincent VanMaaren claimed gold in the pole vault, clearing 4.75 meters.
Additional points came from
Malcolm Oakes, who placed sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:14.53), as well as
Gabe Levin in the hammer throw (9th, 43.35m) and
Jordan Davis in the javelin (10th, 49.07m).
On the track, Williams' relay teams added to the team score, led by the 4x400 relay squad of
Juan Talisayon,
Noah Stegmeier,
Desmond Snyder, and
Yanni Kakouris, which placed fifth in 3:17.42.
The 4x100 relay team of Kakouris,
Devesh Khamitkar,
Eric He, and
Sheehan Pierre-Louis finished eighth (42.12), while the 4x800 relay of
Gavin Engtrakul, Luis Mendoza,
Ryan Hardiman, and
Tom Emery also placed eighth (7:52.68).

th thru 9
th as they host the annual Farley Inter Regional Meet.
