COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — After reaching the NCAA Division III Tournament in four consecutive seasons from 2022-25, the Williams College field hockey team earned a No. 11 ranking in the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division III National Coaches poll Tuesday morning.

In each of the last four years, the Ephs won at least one NCAA Tournament game, hosting first-round action on Williamson Field during the 2022, 2023 and 2025 seasons. The 2024 team earned a first-round bye on the national stage, hosting second and third-round action. The 2022 unit reached the programs' first-ever Final Four, and then the group repeated the feat again during 2024.

Head coach Alix Barrale '93 enters her 26th season at the helm of the program, as she has compiled an overall record of 269-160 and a 142-97 mark in the NESCAC. From 2001-04, Barrale powered Williams to three NESCAC Championships in four years. In total, the Ephs have reached 11 NCAA Tournaments under Barrale's guidance.

The Ephs' 2026 season begins with an 11 a.m. NESCAC game against fifth-ranked Bates on Sunday, Sept. 6, in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
