Junior Lorcan Mitchell scored his fifth career game-winning tally for the 10th-ranked Ephs (1-0-0, 1-0-0 NESCAC) during a 3-2 season-opening victory over NESCAC-rival Bates Saturday afternoon at Cole Field. He blasted a left-footed shot from the edge of the 18-yard box into the top left corner of the net with 30:18 left in the second half, snapping a 2-2 deadlock after the Bobcats had knotted the score just 31 seconds prior.
