A Massachusetts native from Cohasset, senior Will Baker was a key figure in Williams’ defensive effort against visiting Bowdoin this past Saturday. The defensive tackle was a disruptive force up front, securing five tackles, four of which came behind the line of scrimmage for a total loss of 12 yards. His biggest play, however, came on the tackle that was beyond the line as he stripped the ball from a Polar Bear rusher, allowing classmate Holden Gering to recover the ball at the Bowdoin 45. That turnover set up the Ephs’ second score of the day en route to a 17-7 triumph to open the season with a victory for the fourth straight year.
