SOUTH HADLEY, MA - The Williams College women's golf team
finished 6th of 11 in the 2009 Jack Leaman Invitational tournament
this afternoon. The Ephs shot 346-351-697 at the par-72 The
Orchards in South Hadley, MA, while rival Amherst shot a 657 to
take top honors.
In today's portion of the competition, two Ephs (senior
Melissa Barton and junior Kaitlyn O'Brien) finished with
scores of 91. With her scores from days one and two, Barton tied
for 14th place today with UC Santa Cruz's Julia Williams.
Both ladies shot 170.
Williams junior Anne O'Leary placed 7th individually with
scores of 80 and 84 on days one and two, respectively.
Freshman Kristen Tubbs posted an 86, and junior Kristin Nottebohm
ended with a 90.
Williams will face many of the teams from this tournament again
next weekend in the Williams Invitational at Taconic Golf Club.
