Women's Golf Coaches Association Release
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Junior
Euna Lee and sophomore
Natalie Cheong of the No. 8-ranked Williams College women's golf team were named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Division III East All-Region Team, as each student-athlete recorded medalist honors once during the 2024-25 season.
"This is a well-deserved honor for Euna and Natalie," said head coach
Tomas Adalsteinsson. "They had strong seasons in different ways. Both have made a tremendous impact on our program, on and off the course, and I am thrilled to see them recognized for their contributions. We have a strong team, and their success has been fueled by the support and competitive drive of their teammates throughout the year."

Lee earned East All-Region honors and was named an Honorable Mention All-American by the WGCA during the 2023-24 season, while this is the first time Cheong has been recognized in this capacity by the WGCA. Lee was named NESCAC Golfer of the Year and to the All-Conference First Team this spring, while Cheong garnered her first All-Conference accolade, earning a spot on the First Team. Lee was also named to the NESCAC First and Second Team, respectively, in 2024 and 2023, while taking home the Rookie of the Year award in 2023.
Lee was the first-place performer during the NESCAC Championship on May 2-4 in New Hartford, New York, finishing with a score of 71-76-78-225. Her opening performance of 71 was tied for the lowest single round by any competitor during the three-day tournament.
She finished in the top-nine overall five times in 2024-25, while placing in a tie for 14th during the NCAA Division III Championship on May 13-16 at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia, with a score of 71-74-76-76-297. During the 2024-25 season, the Irvine, California, native shot in the 70s during 20-of-21 rounds.
"Euna hit her stride in the spring, winning the NESCAC Championship individually, leading our team with the highest finish at the NCAA Championship and finishing the year with the highest national ranking," said Adalsteinsson.
Cheong placed in the top-five overall three times this academic year. She was the medalist out of 63 individuals during the George Phinney Classic on Sept. 21-22, as she shot a two-round total of 146 (73-73). The Las Vegas, Nevada, native placed second out of 80 in the individual standings during the Polar Bear Shootout on Sept. 14-15 in Brunswick, Maine, recording a score of 68-74-142. The five-under-par 68 was the lowest single round of Cheong's collegiate career, as the Ephs went on to win the team title out of 13 schools at the season-opening Polar Bear Shootout.
"Natalie came out of the gate in the fall with record-breaking rounds, an individual tournament win and finished the year as our second-highest ranked player," said Adalsteinsson.
