WILLIAMSTOWN, MA – Julie Ellenberger (38-39) and Flora
Weeks (37-40) of Middlebury College both fired 77 on the first day
of the Williams College Invitational Tournament to lead their team
to first place. The Panthers top second-place Amherst's Lord
Jeffs team score by a single stroke (327-328).
Ellenberger and Weeks are currently tied for first place, closely
followed by Zahra Aliza Hanif of Mt. Holyoke (40-38) and Kimberly
Eaton of Wellesley (39-39) who both finished with 78's.
The day ended with the host Ephs placing sixth with an overall
team score of 339. Senior Eph Melissa Barton (41-42) shot an 83
today, tying for 14th place with Kayleigh Horn of Vassar (36-47),
Elaine Lin of Amherst (43-40), and Kathleen Banaszak of Mt. Holyoke
(42-41).
The two-day Eph Invitational concludes with another round of 18
tomorrow.
