WILLIAMSTOWN, MA - In the second and final day of the Williams
Invitational, the Williams College women's golf team held onto
their 6th place spot at Taconic Golf Course.The Ephs shot a 682
(339-343), beating Nazareth's 762 (394-368).
Middlebury College was able to maintain a solid lead over the
competition, ending with a 644 (327-317). Julie Ellenbberger was
the day's top performer, firing a 77 on both days of competition
(154). Another Middlebury player, Flora Weeks, came in second with
a 155 (77-78).
The Eph's top performance came from junior Anne O'Leary
(84-80-164), who edged past senior teammate Melissa Barton
(83-87-170) and tied for ninth place alongside Vassar's Katie
Bertel (81-83-164). Notable performances also came from freshman
Kristen Tubbs (85-88-173), junior Kristin Nottebohm (87-88-175),
and junior Kait O'Brien (87-89-176).
The next matchup for the Ephs comes Sunday, May 2 at the
Wellesley Invitational.
