WELLESLEY, MA—Despite colder temperatures, the Ephs scored a 309—a popular number for the Ephs this season. Williams is currently in first place, just seven strokes ahead of NYU (316) and Middlebury (319).
The scores are tight this weekend, with the difference between each place being a single stroke. Phoebe Mattana, who has more often than not been in either first or second place this entire season, is currently leading the tournament with a score of 75. Close behind is NYU's Angela Yang, with 76; close behind her are juniors Sophie Kitchen and Tracey Kim, tied for third with a pair of 77. Isabella Wang, playing as an individual, is tied for sixth at 78. Cordelia Chan and Elizabeth Gudas are tied for ninth at 80.
This places all the Ephs, including the individual player, are in the top ten.
Tomorrow the Ephs will tee off at a 10 AM shotgun start, and the players will bundle up for the early morning warm-up to their last tournament round of the season. The weather forecast promises even lower temperatures and possibly snow in a brisk ending to a beautiful fall season.
