Destin, FL -- Williams Women's Golf sits in fifth place after round one of the Golfweek October Classic at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. After shooting 296 (+8) the Ephs are 5 shots back of the leading team, Washington University - St. Louis. Lee comments, "Although the journey to Florida was a lot on Saturday, I am glad that we made the most out of our little practice. A few birdie signs were thrown around today, and I can sense that we can go low these next two days. I am excited to see how we play!"
Senior Captain Gio Kim also fired a 73 (+1) with 3 birdies. Sophomore Natalie Cheong followed closely behind with a 74 (+2), highlighted by two birdies. Sophomore Maryanne Grace and First-year Michelle Ding both shot 76 (+4).
