Ephs Women’s Golf Finishes Tied For Fourth At The Hamilton Invitational

Rome, NY -- Williams Women's Golf finished tied for fourth place at the Hamilton Invitational. After shooting another 312 (+24) the Ephs tied with Babson, finishing 2 strokes behind the victorious Wellesley College who won in a tiebreaker against Amherst College. The course continued to be a challenge, leading to a tight leaderboard where every shot counted coming towards the final holes.

Sophomore Maryanne Grace led the team with a 76 (+4) highlighted by 2 birdies.

Grace comments, "It was nice to see some improvement in my game from Saturday to Sunday. The course was tough and the team definitely battled this weekend."

Senior Captain Gio Kim fired 3 birdies leading her way to shooting a 77 (+5). First year Michelle Ding followed close behind shooting 78 (+6). Sophomore Natalie Cheong shot 81 (+9) and Junior Euna Lee had a 83 (+11). Junior Victoria Kim rounded out the lineup with a 89 (+17).

Assistant coach Bill Kangas notes, "I was proud how hard the team worked this weekend, but I think each one of us would feel disappointed in how we finished today. We will reflect and improve on what we've learned as we begin preparing for our next invitational, Division III Golfweek in San Destin, Florida."
