Ephs Secure At-Large Berth in NCAA DIII Tourney

WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. – Kevin App's 21-6 Williams team that finished second in the NESCAC Tournament has been awarded an At-Large Berth in the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
 
The Ephs will head to Oswego, New York to play DeSales University (Center Valley, PA) at 3:30 PM on March 1st.
 
The winner of the 3:30 PM game will play the winner of the Oswego State vs. Babson contest being played at 6:00 PM on March 1st. That game will be played on March 2nd at 6:00 PM at Oswego State.
 
The DeSales Bulldogs sport a season record of 24-3. Their recent 54-53 loss to Stevens snapped the Bulldogs win streak at 21.
 
The Ephs and Bulldogs have one common opponent this season in Hamilton College. On December 29 DeSales defeated Hamilton 72-62 in the first round of their Al Senavitis Memorial Tournament.
 
The Ephs defeated Hamilton 64-63 at home on January 3rd.
 
DeSales averages 63 points a game and their leading scorer is senior forward Elijah Eberly who averages 12.1 points a game. Caleb Gibbs is the top rebounder averaging 9 boards a game.
 
Williams averages 65.5 points a game and the Ephs' leading scorer is sophomore guard Alex Lee with 11.1 points a game. The Ephs top rebounder is senior center Nate Karren who averages 5.5 boards a game.

Eph head coach Kevin App stated, "There's no better feeling than to see your name pop up on the board on the selection show. I'm happy for our guys. We're all happy to get another week together and to see what we've got against DeSales.
