HADLEY, Mass. - After guiding the Williams College women's volleyball team to the third seed in the NESCAC Playoffs and an at-large bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament, junior
Keely Campuzano and sophomore
Chi Obi were named to the NESCAC All-Conference First and Second Teams, respectively, on Thursday morning.
Campuzano ranks third in the NESCAC in total kills (257) and eighth in kills per set (2.82), as she has recorded double figures in kills during 12 matches this season. The Excelsior, Minnesota, native posted a season-high 19 kills during a five-set match against Middlebury on Sept. 27 in Chandler Gymnasium.
She also finished with 14 kills and six digs during a 3-1 triumph over Middlebury during the NESCAC Quarterfinals on Nov. 8 in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Campuzano tallied 15 kills and a season-best nine digs during a 3-2 victory at eventual NESCAC champion Tufts on Oct. 3 in Medford, Massachusetts.
Obi posted double digits in kills on 10 occasions, while also finishing with three or more blocks 10 times. She finished with a career-high 16 kills during a 3-0 triumph against visiting Vassar on Sept. 24. During the match against Middlebury on Sept. 27, the Richmond Heights, Ohio, native compiled 14 kills and a season-best seven block assists.
The Ephs (19-7, 7-3 NESCAC) will compete against Franklin & Marshall on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 4:30 p.m. during the first round of the NCAA Tournament at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
