Men’s Lacrosse Seeded 8th In NESCAC Championship


WILLIAMSTOWN, MASS. – George McCormack's 2025 Williams Men's Lacrosse team has been seeded eighth in the NESCAC Championship that begins this Saturday. The Ephs will travel to Medford, Mass. to take on top seeded Tufts University at 3 PM.

Tournament Central 

Tufts posted an undefeated NESCAC record this spring and the Jumbos defeated Willilams back on April 2 in Medford 15-4. The Ephs are riding a 3-game win streak which includes a win over fifth seeded Middlebury 12-11 in their last regular season contest.

The Ephs this season are led by the following individuals who have competed in all 15 games:

Senior captain Jesse Shapiro has scored 38 goals, assisted on 8 goals and has 2 game winning goals to his credit
Senior midfielder Harrison Cross has scored 33 goals and assisted on 17 goals
Junior Faceoff Ian Kim leads the Ephs with 67 ground balls and has won 136 of 251 faceoffs
Junior captain Will Doran has scored 16 goals and has a team best 27 assists
Senior captain Eddie Lloyd has collected 51 ground balls and has caused 30 turnovers
Junior defender Aidan Housenbold has secured 50 ground balls and caused 30 turnovers
Senior captain and goalie Matt Wetmore has started all 15 games, authored 7 wins and has made 211 saves

All quarterfinal games are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, unless otherwise listed. If institutions have mutually agreed to move a game time, please let me know immediately.

^ Bates, Hamilton, and Williams finished with identical conference records of 4-6. In head-to-head competition, Bates went 2-0 to earn the No. 6 seed, Hamilton went 1-1 to earn the No. 7 seed, and Williams went 0-2 to earn the No. 8 seed.
