Jesse Shapiro '25 and
Eddie Loyd '25 of the Williams College men's lacrosse team were celebrated Tuesday with Scholar All-American honors by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA), while the Ephs were also a recipient of the Team Academic award.

Shapiro, who was named to the NESCAC All-Conference Second Team in 2025 and majored in English, finished his career with 78 goals, 16 assists, 94 points, 14 man-up goals and five game-winning tallies. During the 2025 season, the captain and midfielder from Glencoe, Illinois, ranked fourth in the NESCAC in goals per game (2.76), tied for sixth in total goals (47), eighth in points per game (3.35) and 10th in total points (57).
Loyd, who was a math and computer science major, was named to the NESCAC All-Conference Second Team in 2025 and earned All-Academic Team recognition in three consecutive years from 2023-25. The captain and defender, who hails from Monkton, Maryland, totaled 126 ground balls and 74 caused turnovers during his four-year collegiate career, while also recording one goal, six assists and seven points. During the 2025 season, he led the conference in total caused turnovers (36) and was second in caused turnovers per game (2.12), while ranking second on the team in total ground balls (59).
In order to qualify for the Team Academic award, a squad needed to achieve a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2024-25 academic year. During the 2025 season, Williams defeated three ranked opponents in No. 17 Babson, 9-7, on March 1, No. 6 Amherst, 9-6, on April 5 and No. 19 Middlebury, 12-11, on April 23. The group received an at-large bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament.
