Hadley, MA – In a vote by the NESCAC Men's Lacrosse coaches, Eph seniors
Eddie Loyd and
Jesse Shapiro have been named to the All-NESCAC Second Team.
Loyd a defender and a captain who hails from Monkton, MD, played in all 16 games and led the Ephs in ground balls with 54 and caused turnovers with 32. He was a key to success that Williams had on the defensive end this year. He started 15 of 16 games and led the Ephs in ground balls with 54. His leadership on and off the field were present in all situations and demonstrated what it meant to be an Ephs on the Men's Lacrosse team.
Shapiro, also a senior captain and midfielder who hails from Glencoe, IL, was a huge asset to the offense this year. The senior tallied 42 goals, 9 assists, for 51 points and notched 3 game winning goals. He played a clean, hard, game that resulted in only two penalties for the entire 16 game season. Shapiro often came up big when Williams needed him to and made everyone around him better.

George McCormack noted on both players, "Both of them are extremely deserving of this honor. They have put in an incredible amount of time and effort over the last 4 years and I'm very happy to see that they are being recognized for it."
