Sydney Fleming of the Williams College softball team was recognized as NESCAC Player of the Week Monday for the second time during the 2025 season.Â

Fleming, who was named NESCAC Player of the Week on March 31, tallied at least one home run in 5-of-7 games last week for the Ephs (24-11, 11-5 NESCAC). The Burlingame, California, native recorded at least one hit in all seven games and posted three multi-hit performances, as she maintained a .500 batting average.
She went 2 for 3, with three RBIs, two home runs and two runs, during a 13-4 five-inning triumph over Colby Sunday at Cole Field. Fleming tallied a 2-for-3 effort in the batter's box, with three RBIs, one home run and one run, during a 9-2 seven-inning victory over Amherst Friday afternoon in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Fleming finished 2 of 2, with two RBIs, one home run and one run, in a 9-1 six-inning, non-conference win over visiting Smith on April 23.
During the 2025 season, Fleming has tallied 20 home runs, which is the most in a single season in program history. She also ranks first in the program's record book for career home runs with 48, as she became the all-time leader in that category at Bowdoin on April 5.
Fleming leads the NESCAC this season in home runs, slugging percentage (.991), RBIs (51) and OPS (1.443). She was named to the All-Conference First Team in 2023 and received Second Team honors in 2024. During the 2023 season, Fleming was recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) with Division III All-Region 1 First Team laurels.
The Ephs wrap up the 2025 regular season with a doubleheader against Hamilton on Saturday.
