WILLIAMSBURG, VA -- Williams Women's Golf team finishes in 10th place after four rounds of the NCAA Championship. Emory clinched the team and individual title shooting a 1168 (+16). The final round for the Ephs began at 10am and temperatures reached into the 90s. The Ephs shot a 306 (+18) to secure a top 10 finish.
Senior Captain Gio Kim finished her final collegiate round shooting 80 (+8). Kim's decorated career includes being named 2025 NESCAC All-Conference First Team, 2024 NESCAC Golfer of the Year, 2024 Second Team All-American, 2024 NESCAC All-Conference First Team, and 2023 NESCAC All-Conference Second Team.
Kim reflects, "It was a bittersweet end but super glad to be there with the team! It's been a great 4 years and I'll always be cheering for the team going forward."
The team was led by first year Michelle Ding who shot 74 (+2). Ding was steady all week at her first NCAAs. Sophomore Natalie Cheong and Junior Euna Lee followed closely behind with a pair of 76s (+4). Sophomore Emma Abramson rounded out the lineup with a 81 (+9), highlighted by 3 birdies.
Eph head coach Tomas Adalsetinsson comments, "I'm incredibly proud of our young team. While we had hoped to finish higher, we know we have more to show - and we will. For three of our players, this was only their second time competing at nationals, and for two, it was their first. They stepped up and helped continue our program's strong tradition of top-10 finishes at the NCAA Championship. We'll take a lot from this experience and come back even stronger next year. It was also special to go all the way to the final day of the season with our senior, Gio, who has given so much to this team over the past four years. She deserves all the credit for her contributions and impact. We will miss her. "
