NEW HARTFORD, NY -- Williams Women's Golf team currently leads by one stroke heading into the final round of the NESCAC Championship, after shooting 317 (+25). A tight leader board with Bowdoin one shot behind, Middlebury two shots behind, and Hamilton 3 shots back, will make for an exciting day tomorrow. The team was led again by junior Euna Lee who carded 3 birdies and an eagle for a strong 76 (+3). Lee leads on the individual side by 2 strokes. First year Michelle Ding followed with an 80 (+7), after finishing her round strong with two birdies.
Ding commented, "I think today was a battle with the weather conditions. My game definitely felt off as well, but i'm glad that I was able to hold it together and finish strong."
Senior Captain Gio Kim also shot an 80 (+7) and Maryanne Grace was one behind with an 81 (+8), highlighted by two birdies. Rounding out the lineup was sophomore Natalie Cheong who shot an 83 (+10).
Eph head coach Tomas Adalsteinsson noted, "We had a strong finish to the round, but we made too many errors today. As a team, we know we can do better. Our players are tough and will be ready tomorrow. We're glad we have another round tomorrow to get after it!"
