KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Williams College men's basketball team did an outstanding job in prioritizing academics during the 2024-25 season, as the Ephs earned the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence award and nine student-athletes were named to the Honors Court.

The nine Ephs who earned Honors Court status were Alex Lee '26 (statistics), Ben McGraw '26 (political economy/Chinese), Brandon Roughley '25 (psychology/economics), Evan Glatzer '25 (psychology/economics), Hudson Hansen '26 (economics/classics), Isiaha Dickens '26 (studio art/art history), Noah Dinkins '25 (psychology/economics), Onyeraluobu Chibuogwu '26 (physics/political economy) and Sammy Cooley '26 (economics/psychology).

The NABC Team Academic Excellence award recognizes programs that completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC's academic awards are presented annually to teams and student-athletes from all levels of college basketball.

The Ephs maintained a superb team GPA of 3.4 this past school year and also defeated then-No. 6-ranked Trinity, 56-51, on Jan. 11 in Hartford, Connecticut. Williams finished the season with a 15-10 overall record and saw Dinkins, Glatzer, Lee and Roughley earn College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District laurels.

During the seven competitive seasons from 2016-24, the Ephs qualified for six NCAA Division III Tournaments, winning at least one game in each appearance. The 2016-17 team reached the Final Four and the 2018-19 unit went to the Elite Eight, while the 2021-22 and 2023-24 groups found a way to the Sweet 16. Williams won the NESCAC Championship during the 2017-18 season.
