HADLEY, Mass. - After finishing with three goals for the No. 10-ranked Williams College men's soccer team during a 1-0-1 opening week of action, first-year forward
JJ Ruehlemann was named NESCAC Player of the Week Monday.
During a 3-1 victory at No. 15 Tufts Saturday in Medford, Massachusetts, Ruehlemann buried two goals for the Ephs (1-0-1, 1-0-0 NESCAC), including the game-winning tally in the 49th minute. Williams defeated the Jumbos for the first time since Oct. 19, 2013, and it was Williams' first victory at Tufts since Oct. 23, 2010.
The Waldwick, New Jersey, native buried his first collegiate goal in the fifth minute during a 1-1 season-opening tie against Wheaton (Mass.) on Tuesday at Cole Field in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The Ephs will be back in action with a 4:30 p.m. NESCAC game at Hamilton on Tuesday in Clinton, New York.
