WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Williams College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) announced its Eph of the Week awards this afternoon with sophomore
Adalena Rodgers of the women's volleyball team and junior
Malcolm Oakes of the men's cross country team.
Rodgers delivered an outstanding weekend as the Ephs picked up two statement wins over Colby and Bowdoin. In Friday's sweep of No. 2 Colby, she recorded 10 digs and sealed the 29-27 third-set victory with a service ace. She followed that performance with a double-double against Bowdoin on Saturday, recording 10 kills and 13 digs while hitting .364.
As a six-rotation outside hitter, Adalena provided consistent energy, versatility, and stability on both sides of the net throughout the weekend, helping the Ephs secure a perfect 2-0 NESCAC weekend.
Oakes helped lead the Ephs to an 11
th place finish at the Pre-National Meet at Carleton College on Saturday, placing 13th individually in a field of 328 runners.
The strong performance gives the Ephs a valuable preview of the course as they prepare to return to Carleton in November for the 2026 NCAA Division III Championship, where Oakes will play a key role for the team.
