Women’s golf finishes fourth at Northeast Invitational

SOUTHWICK, Mass. - The Ephs women's golf team earned fourth place at the Northeast Invitational this weekend in Southwick, Mass., in an event hosted by Bowdoin College. Williams started with a strong +9 on Saturday, but all the teams struggled in difficult Sunday weather as the Ephs finished the weekend with a +40 team score.

Each of the seven schools in the event entered the weekend ranked 21st nationally or better, and #13 Middlebury College won at +22. Bowdoin was second at +34 and Amherst was third at +35.

Euna Lee was the top scorer for the Ephs, shooting a 2-under 70 on Saturday, followed by a +5 on Sunday, and her overall score of +3 for the two rounds was tied for second in the tournament, two strokes back of the winner. Maryanne Grace shot +3 on Sunday, the team's best round on that day, and Natalie Cheong shot +2 on Saturday. Zoe Wynn also had a strong +5 on Saturday.

The Ephs will have a weekend off from competition before hosting the NESCAC Championship at Taconic Golf Club from Friday, May 1 through Sunday, May 3.
