WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The No. 4-ranked Williams College women's golf team is ecstatic to host the three-day, 54-hole stroke play 2026 NESCAC Championship Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Taconic Golf Club.
Competition begins on Friday at 12:30 p.m. and 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. In addition to Williams, the other competing teams include No. 5Â Amherst, No. 9Â Middlebury, No. 12 Hamilton, No. 15Â Bowdoin, Trinity, Bates and Wesleyan.
Williams leads the conference with six all-time NESCAC Championships, occurring in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2024. Amherst won back-to-back conference championships in 2022 and 2023, while Middlebury is the defending NESCAC champion, emerging victorious in 2025. During last year's event,
Euna Lee '26 was the medalist for the Ephs with a 71-76-78-225 score. The individual champion has come from Williams in three consecutive years, as
Gio Kim '25 (69-75-144)Â and
Catalin Yturralde '23 (74-71-155) earned the honor in 2024 and 2023, respectively.
During the 2025-26 season, the Ephs have won three tournaments, including the Ann S. Batchelder Match Play Championship on Sept. 13-14, the Polar Bear Shootout on Oct. 4-5 and the Golfweek October Classic on Oct. 12-14. Williams has been led this season by head coach
Tomas Adalsteinsson and assistant
Bill Kangas, while the roster features seniors
Victoria Kim,
Jackie Lu and Lee, juniors
Emma Abramson,
Natalie Cheong and
Maryanne Grace, sophomore
Michelle Ding and first-years
Zoe Wynn and
Petra Yee.
Cheong earned medalist honors during the Polar Bear Shootout and placed second at the Golfweek October Classic. Lee recorded a second-place effort in the individual standings during the Northeast Invitational on April 18-19, while finishing in a tie for second with Ding at the Polar Bear Shootout.
