PHOENIX, AZ.--The Williams College baseball team had its seven-game win streak snapped Friday when it dropped the first game of a key three-game series with Middlebury, 10-3.
The Ephs fell to 12-3 overall, 0-1 in NESCAC West play. The two teams get together Saturday for a doubleheader beginning at 8 a.m.
Junior Harry Marino took the loss for Williams, going 4 1/3 innings and being charged with seven runs. Dan Grossman tossed 2 2/3 innings and Matt Berdoff finished up with two innings of scoreless relief.
Stephen Maier went 4 for 5 with a triple and two runs scored. Cameron Susk was 2 for 5 with two RBI.
