Ephs secure at-large bid into NCAA Division III Tournament

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - For the third time in the last four years, the Williams College women's volleyball team earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament Monday afternoon, as the Ephs will compete against Franklin & Marshall during the first round Thursday (4:30 p.m.) at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

"We are incredibly honored and excited to earn an at-large bid to this year's NCAA Tournament," said head coach Christi Kelsey. "This team has put together an amazing season so far and we are all looking forward to the opportunity to compete again this week together."

Williams also defeated eventual NESCAC champion Tufts, 3-2, on Oct. 3 in Medford, Massachusetts. The 2022 squad reached the Sweet 16 of the national tournament.

Junior Morgan Daetz (524 assists, fifth best in the NESCAC) and sophomore Lilly Carstens (377 assists) have controlled the setting responsibilities, combining for 901 assists. Six Ephs have recorded double figures in digs this season, including first-year Eve Kaplan (368, third in the NESCAC), Daetz (169), junior Tatum Baker (157), sophomore Kate Lane (155), Carstens (152) and first-year Adalena Rodgers (119). Junior Keely Campuzano led the squad in kills (257, fifth in the NESCAC), while sophomore Chi Obi (199), Baker (155) and Lane (128) all finished with over 100.
