GREENWOOD, INDIANA – Five members of head coach
Bill Barrale's 2025 Eph Baseball team (22-15) that advanced to the Double Elimination Round of the NESCAC Championship have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. To earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors an athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and possess a cumulative minimum grade point average of 3.50.
Sophomore outfielder
Ryan Nakajima played in every game this season. Nakajima has yet to declare a major. He recorded a team high 59 hits with 17 extra base hits for a team-high batting average of .396. In addition he drove in a team-high 42 runs. He was successful on 13 of his 15 stolen base attempts.
Sophomore pitcher/infielder
Owen McHugh posted a batting average of .276, drove in 5 runs and was successful on 7 of 9 stolen base attempts. On the mound McHugh started 8 games and came on in relief in one contest. In 34.2 innings he struck out 53 batters and registered a 2.27 earned run average. He has not declared a major at this time.
Junior infielder
Dave Mosrie started 30 games and hit .189 belting 5 triples, 1 home run and he drove in 14 runs. Mosrie is a Chemistry major.
James O'Connor a senior captain played in 35 games as a pitcher and first baseman, posting a .323 batting average. 18 of his 42 hits were for extra bases and he led the Ephs with 8 home runs and he drove in 41 runs. In addition, he was successful on all 6 of his stolen base attempts. In his 4 innings of relief on the mound he struck out 7 batters. O'Connor is a Psychology major.
Junior pitcher and captain
Peyton Rose hurled a total of 37 innings in his 10 starts and recorded 26 strikeouts. Rose is a double major focusing on History and Political Science.
