GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Williams College baseball team prioritized academic success during the 2024-25 academic year, as the Ephs were announced as an American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence award winner Wednesday.

Bill Barrale. "This achievement is a testament to the student-athletes'Â hard work and dedication in all aspects of their lives."
The award recognizes ABCA member teams from all levels of high school and collegiate baseball that achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2024-25 academic year. The Ephs maintained a 3.43 team GPA during this past school year. The program has now earned the Team Academic Excellence award from the ABCA in back-to-back seasons.
During the 2025 season, the Ephs went 22-15 overall and 7-5 in the NESCAC West Division. Williams swept the best-of-three NESCAC Quarterfinal series against Bowdoin on May 3 and 4, and then finished as the runner-up during the conference championship weekend in Brunswick, Maine. The unit swept West Division-rivals Wesleyan and Hamilton, going a perfect 6-0 against the two teams.Â

Ryan Nakajima '27 were named to the D3baseball.com All-Region Second Team, while
Owen McHugh '27 cemented a spot on the Third Team.
James O'Connor '25, Juan and McHugh garnered ABCA All-Region 1 Third Team laurels, while
Peyton Rose '26,
Dave Mosrie '26, Nakajima, McHugh and O'Connor were honored with College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors. O'Connor, Nakajima, McHugh and Juan collected NESCAC All-Conference First Team laurels, while McHugh was also selected as the conference's Co-Pitcher of the Year.
During a 7-5 win at Wesleyan on April 27 in Middletown, Connecticut, Barrale picked up his 350th career win as a Division III head coach. Two days later, in an 11-3 triumph over MCLA at Bobby Coombs Field in Williamstown, Massachusetts, the outstanding coach earned his 300th victory at Williams.Â
