Why did you choose to attend Williams?

I chose to attend Williams because I wanted to go to a place where I could continue to get a great education, while continuing to play baseball. I like the balance of being able to play baseball and having the freedom to explore other interests.

You have a blank canvas, paint your perfect day. What does it look like?
First, wake up, and I'm going to IHOP for breakfast. Next, I'm going to play basketball with my friends, and then stop at Chick-fil-A for lunch. After lunch, head to the cages to get some swings in. After the cage, I'm getting pasta from Olive Garden for dinner. After dinner, I'm going bowling with friends, and then closing out the night with fudge Little Bites.

What extracurricular activities or service activities do you participate in?
I'm on the board of two clubs here on campus: The Society of the Griffins and Williams GCBC. The Society of the Griffins is the club for Black men on campus, and GCBC is the student-athlete of color coalition. Both clubs allow me to create a better community for people like me, and I love contributing to making Williams a better experience for everyone.

What's your go-to warm-up song?
Before each game last year, I listened to the entire AI Youngboy 2 album by NBA Youngboy.

What is something you enjoy doing that you never get tired of?
Playing with my dog.

What has been your favorite class?
My favorite class was called Giving God a Backbeat. It was a mix of studying religion and music, specifically hip hop. I learned a lot about different styles of music dating back to slavery, as well as about the intersections of religion with music today.

What is the greatest lesson you have learned from being a student-athlete?
The best lesson I have learned is how to deal with failure. Not everything goes your way when playing a sport, whether it's dealing with a loss or injury. Learning how to bounce back from defeat is very important.

What is your favorite place on campus?
The baseball field during the fall is my favorite spot on campus. When the weather is nice and the sun is setting, there are great views of the mountains and the sky from down there.

What is something interesting about you that others might not know?
I'm ambidextrous. I play sports with my left hand, but I write and do all daily activities with my right hand.

What is something you enjoy doing when not in class or competing in your sport?
I love to go watch all of the other athletic events going on around campus.
