WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The 2024-25 season was immensely successful for the Williams College men's squash program.
The Ephs were ranked No. 11 in the country at the end of the year, which was the highest finish for the program since 2013. Williams finished 16-6 overall and 8-0 in the NESCAC, while
Nick Agger '27 was named to the NESCAC All-Conference Second Team.
Williams received the Barnaby award from the College Squash Association (CSA), as the recognition is given to the most improved men's team. On Feb. 15, the Ephs defeated Dartmouth for the first time in 17 years by a score of 5-4. The unit excelled in close matches, winning 5-of-6 decided by 5-4 scores.
"We achieved a big team goal last season by making it to the top bracket of team nationals and finished 11th," said head coach
Hesham Aly. "Our hopes this season are to return to the top flight tournament and crack the top 10, but it will not be easy with the losses of
Andrew Minnis '25 and
Jack Lee '25, who played at the top of our lineup."
The 2025-26 schedule begins with a 2 p.m. home match against No. 2 Trinity on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Simon Squash Center. On Sunday, Nov. 16, the group hosts No. 10 Cornell at noon in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The squad competes in 17 regular-season matches, including nine NESCAC contests. The NESCAC Championship occurs on Saturday, Feb. 14, and Sunday, Feb. 15, at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York.
The Ephs have 11 returning student-athletes and four newcomers. The returners feature
