GLOUCESTER, Mass. - The Williams College women's ice hockey team was recognized for its superb academic work in 2024-25, as nine Ephs were named to the ninth annual American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA)/Krampade Division II-III All-American Scholar Team.
Katie Armstrong '25 and
Chloe Noxon '26 received this award for the third consecutive season, while
Lucie Bond '26,
Quinn Dawson '25,
Keira Harder '27,
Katherine Kang '27 and
Celine Mayer '27 were named All-American Scholars for the second straight year.
Erin Pye '26 and
Zoe Rosenberg '28 made their first appearances on the team.
"It is great to see these nine honored with the award," said head coach
Meghan Gillis. "It is a tremendous feat to win this honor at Williams. We respect all the work that these student-athletes are doing on and off the ice."
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA or better for each semester during the 2024-25 academic year and had to appear in 40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured student-athletes and backup goaltenders. Schools also were required to be members of the AHCA.
In the 2024-25 season, the Ephs defeated five ranked teams, including then-No. 1 Middlebury, 4-1, at Lansing Chapman Rink on Feb. 15. Williams outlasted No. 8 Plattsburgh State, 3-2, on Feb. 18, No. 13 Trinity, 4-2, on Jan. 4, No. 14 Norwich, 2-0, on Dec. 7 and No. 15 Colby, 2-1, on Jan. 24.
Pye was named to the NESCAC All-Conference Second Team for the second year in a row, while also taking home the conference's Player of the Week accolade on Dec. 9 and Jan. 27. Gillis picked up her 150th career victory at Williams during a 2-1 win against Connecticut College on Feb. 8 in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
