WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - It is just about time to kick off the Williams College football season.
The Ephs begin the 2025 journey Saturday with a 1:30 p.m. NESCAC matchup at Hamilton on Steuben Field in Clinton, New York.

"I am very excited to get the season started," said head coach
Mark Raymond. "We have a great group of young student-athletes coming in to help our very experienced veteran group. I am very proud of the leadership our captains and seniors have shown throughout the offseason and summer."
Since Raymond has taken over the program in 2016, Williams has compiled a 38-33 record, including going 9-0 for the first time in team history during the 2021 season, marking the eighth perfect season in the program's record book. Raymond was named NESCAC Coach of the Year at the conclusion of the 2021 year and has led the team to five winning seasons.
Raymond will be supported by an outstanding coaching staff, featuring
Mark McDonough,
Nick Hennessey,
Ramon Mignott,

Williams is coming off a 5-4 season in 2024, as the group was outstanding on Farley-Lamb Field, compiling a 4-1 record at home. The Ephs concluded the year with a 21-0 victory over visiting Little-Three opponent Amherst. The program also enjoyed victories over Hamilton (42-7), Colby (24-19), Bowdoin (34-14) and Bates (24-21).

Leonardo Maiuolo '27 was recognized on the All-NESCAC Special Teams Second Team.
Sam Jaffe '26,

Last year, Oris rushed for 434 yards and two TDs, while
Owen Johansen '27 rose to the occasion with two rushing TDs during the season-ending triumph over the Mammoths on Farley-Lamb Field. Johansen was a reliable target, catching 15 passes for 210 yards and three TDs, while

The team's final home game is against Little Three-rival Wesleyan on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m.
Last spring, the NESCAC Presidents approved a proposal from the Conference Athletic Directors to allow NESCAC football teams to participate in the NCAA Division III Championship effective in fall 2026.
"The NESCAC has become one of the deepest conferences in Division III," said Raymond. "Every Saturday we will face great student-athletes and coaches."
