WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - It is difficult to imagine right now with the sizable snowbanks, but the Williams College women's lacrosse team's 2026 opener is only 18 days away.
The group will jump right into NESCAC action with its journey beginning on Saturday, Feb. 28, as the Ephs host Trinity at 1 p.m. on Farley-Lamb Field.
"The 2026 women's lacrosse team is led by an exceptional senior class with nine student-athletes who set the tone through their energy, competitiveness and commitment to one another," said interim head coach
Alix Barrale. "They have built a positive and high standard environment that fosters connection, growth and daily accountability, while bringing an edge that shows up every time they compete. They are supported by a seasoned junior class ready to make significant contributions, while an enthusiastic group of sophomores and first years add depth, hunger and fresh perspectives to the program. United by strong leadership and a relentless drive, the team enters the season focused, confident and poised to break through in the NESCAC."

Maggie Rorke enters her first season as an assistant coach for the program.
During the 2025 season, Donohue led the team with 35 goals and 46 points, while also tallying 11 assists. McCullough found the back of the net 23 times and Day was fantastic on defense, totaling a team-leading 30 caused turnovers, to go along with 29 ground balls.
In 2026, the Ephs compete in 15 regular season games, with 10 counting toward the NESCAC standings and eight occurring in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Williams hosts Amherst on Saturday, April 11, at 1 p.m., and then travels to Wesleyan on Saturday, April 18, for a noon start.
