WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - After averaging 22.0 points and 16.0 rebounds per game, while shooting 63.6% from the field (21 of 33), and guiding the Ephs to a 2-0 NESCAC record this past week, junior forward
Kathleen Smith of the Williams College women's basketball team earned four weekly awards.

The Plaistow, New Hampshire, native was named NESCAC Player of the Week, New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) Player of the Week, U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) Division III National Player of the Week and to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week. Smith is a three-time conference Player of the Week, a two-time member of the D3hoops.com Team of the Week and is a two-time representative on the NEWBA First Team of the Week during the 2025-26 season.
Smith recorded double-doubles in both games this past week, as she now has compiled seven on the season. During a 73-63 win at Hamilton Friday evening, she scored a career-high 30 points and tied a personal-best 19 rebounds, while shooting 14 of 22 from the field (63.6%) and 2 of 2 from the free-throw line. Smith followed that sensational performance up with 14 points and 13 rebounds, to go along with a 7-for-11 shooting effort from the field (63.6%), during a 59-44 victory at Amherst Saturday afternoon.
Smith is averaging 12.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game this season, while shooting an incredibly efficient 134 for 224 from the field (59.8%). She leads the NESCAC in field-goal percentage, while ranking fourth and 10th, respectively, in rebounds and points per game.
The Ephs (12-12, 5-5 NESCAC) earned the fifth seed in the NESCAC Tournament and will take on fourth-seeded Trinity during the quarterfinal round Saturday at 4:30 p.m. in Hartford, Connecticut.
